Hawks Soar Back to Peachtree TV
After nearly three decades, the Atlanta Hawks are making a nostalgic return to Peachtree TV, rekindling a partnership that once defined the team's broadcast history. Starting January 12, 2024, Peachtree TV will air every Friday night Hawks game for the remainder of the 2023-24 NBA season, with the sole exception of the March 8th matchup.
In a strategic move, the channel has opted to broadcast the game against New Orleans on March 10th instead. This marks a significant shift from the past, where WPCH was home to the Hawks' broadcasts from 1972 until 1994, and WANF aired games from 1986 to 1993.
The inaugural two games under this new arrangement will be simulcast live on both Peachtree TV and WANF, ensuring a seamless transition for fans accustomed to following their team on either platform.
Expanding Access to Hawks Games
The reach of these live broadcasts extends far beyond Peachtree TV alone. Fans can catch the action on major cable and satellite services, as well as various Gray TV stations throughout Georgia and Alabama, offering an expansive network for viewership.
Adding a layer of familiarity and expertise to the broadcasts, the Bally Sports Southeast production team will provide commentary. The team includes notable figures such as Dominique Wilkins, Bob Rathbun, and Tabitha Turner. Furthermore, Baillie Burmaster, the Sports Director from WANF, will also contribute to the coverage, enhancing the depth and quality of the broadcast experience.

The team's shooting accuracy took a nosedive, with their field goal percentage plummeting to 28.9 percent and their three-point success rate dropping to a mere 21.7 percent in the latter stages of the contest.
