NBA All-Star Voting Kicks Off for 2025

The excitement of the NBA All-Star season is upon us once again as voting for the 2025 edition officially starts. Fans, players, and media members all contribute to determining who will get the coveted chance to shine in the star-studded event. As is tradition, the fan votes account for 50%, while both NBA players and media share the remaining 50%, each contributing 25% to the starters' selection.

Leaders of the East and West

Over in the Eastern Conference, Giannis Antetokounmpo currently leads the pack with an impressive 1,710,630 votes, overshadowing fellow frontcourt stars Jayson Tatum and Karl-Anthony Towns. In the backcourt realm, LaMelo Ball has captured the most attention, taking the lead, closely followed by Donovan Mitchell and Damian Lillard.

Meanwhile, in the Western Conference, the versatile Nikola Jokic stands ahead with 1,422,121 votes, asserting his dominance. Kevin Durant trails Jokic by a margin of around 150,000 votes. LeBron James holds third place among frontcourt players, with Anthony Davis trailing him by approximately 17,000 votes. Behind Davis, promising rookie Victor Wembanyama rounds out the leading names in the frontcourt race.

The West's backcourt sees Shai Gilgeous-Alexander taking an early lead, followed by the ever-popular Luka Doncic and the sharpshooter Stephen Curry. There’s no shortage of star power and intrigue in this year's voting, that's for sure.

All-Star Game and Voting Details

This year’s All-Star Game promises to add an extra layer of excitement with a mini-tournament format, featuring three eight-player teams, alongside the winners of the Rising Stars challenge. Adding to the allure, NBA veterans Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O’Neal will step into the roles of team captains.
